New Territories East Defended the Title of Hong Kong Games Wheelchair Basketball Challenge

The gold medal match of the 7^th Hong Kong Games Wheelchair Basketball Challenge completed on 26 May at Tsuen Wan Sports Centre. The two teams, New Territories East and Island West defeated each other once when they matched up in preliminary rounds and it meant the game could have gone either way.

Both teams were taking a cautious approach into their first quarter, resulting a low scoring quarter 14-9. Taking the 5-point lead, New Territories East tightened their hold on the game and increased their lead to 42-22, bringing a 20-point advantage to the last quarter. Island West, with a relatively low shot percentage, failed to close the gap. New Territories East scorers CHAN Wing Kin and CHONG Ho Yin contributed 25 and 23 points respectively in the game and helped the team to beat Island West 62-25 to defend their title of Hong Kong Games Wheelchair Basketball Challenge.
