Hong Kong team advanced to TOTAL BWF Para-Badminton World Championships 2019 singles and doubles elimination rounds with all-win record. Men's Singles WH2 CHAN Ho Yuen overcame Japan’s Daiki KAJIWARA 21-9, 21-13 and then Russia’s Ilya PARGEEV21-11, 21-5 in the pool plays. He moved to the round of 16 with an all-win record. Men’s Singles SS6 CHU Man Kai beat Grzegorz JEDNAKI from Poland 21-9, 21-3 and Guimares Dhiego VIDAL from Brazil 21-10, 21-5. He proceeded to knockout round after winning Thanland’s Yaemmali BUNTHAN 21-12, 21-14. WONG Chun Yim first outplayed Japan’s Yohei HATAKEYAMA 21-7, 21-3 and then Ireland’s Andrew MOORCROFT 21-9, 21-8. He defeated Luke MISSEN from Australia 21-4, 21-6 and advanced to the round of 16. Men’s Doubles SS6 The pairing CHU Man Kai and WONG Chun Yim defeated United States 21-7, 21-8 and then the combination of Canada and United States 21-4, 21-5 in group events before they reached the quarter-finals.
