 2019-2021 7th Executive Committee Meeting Summary 2019-2021 7th Executive Committee Meeting was held on 17 November 2020 and the major issues include: Boccia Regional Training Programme To promote regional Para sports development, the Association, with the assistance from local enthusiasts, is going to launch the Boccia Regional Training Programme. Six teams of the regions namely Island East, Island South, Kowloon East, Kowloon West, New Territories East and New Territories West were formed. The recruitment of participants will kick start at the end of November while the trainings will commence in March 2021. The Executive Committee endorsed the budget for the Programme with an overall expenditure of approximately HKD410,000. Francis Tsang Memorial Award In line with the goals set out in Project 2026, the Executive Committee approved the amendment of the selection criteria for the Francis Tsang Memorial Award, which was initially limited to young wheelchair fencers and expanded to include young athletes ranging from elementary to development levels of all sports. The inaugural Award will be awarded in the year 2021-2022 to recognize potential athletes with outstanding performance. Project 2026 Marketing and Communication Subcommittee, Novice Athlete Development Subcommittee and Volunteer Service Development Subcommittee will hold a joint meeting in December to discuss how to strengthen the cooperation of these three subcommittees, and formulate the working plan for talent identification along with promotion and education as stated in the Project 2026. |
