Hosted by Urban Renewal Authority, the association is invited to co-organise a Photography Exhibition on Hong Kong Paralympic athletes. An opening ceremony was held today (3 December) and was officiated by Ir. WAI Chi Sing, Managing Director of URA, Dr. James LAM, Chairman of the association, Mr. OR Chong Shing Wilson, Chairman of Kwun Tong District Council, Mr. TSE Ling Chun Steve, District Officer (Kwun Tong,) and Mr. NG Win Kong Daryl, Deputy Chairman of Sino Group. Mr. NG Cheuk Kai and Mr. CHAN Cheung Ho, the Hong Kong, China Delegation’s photographers was invited to share about the Games and sports photography. Boccia representatives Ms. LAU Wai Yan Vivian and Mr. WONG Kwan Hang demonstrated their sports and joined in with Mr. CHU Man Kai and Mr. CHAN Ho Yuen, badminton representatives and table tennis athlete LEE Ming Yip, swimming athletes WONG Hon Yin and CHEONG Sui Kei. It was the first time for the players to play boccia in front of the media to encourage more people with disabilities to enjoy the fun of sports.
 
The theme for the Exhibition centres around the achievements of the Para athletes, and features more than one hundred photographs in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games and the 11th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, as well as the torches and medals won by athletes from previous Paralympic Games. Several interactive tactile art pieces created from photographs taken at the Paralympic Games are included. The Para sports experiential zone will be opened for public enjoyment in the weekends to promote social awareness for Para sports and encourage physically-disabled people to develop an interest in sports. Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition.
